After you post a deal on MOGL there are restrictions about what can be edited. In this article we'll review what's available to be edited self-service.
Editing a deal on MOGL after it has been posted falls into three main categories:
- Before any athletes have applied
- After any athletes have applied
- After any athletes have been hired
There are also two workflows for editing the due date of a single deliverable that are related and thus listed below
1. Editing a deal BEFORE any athletes have Applied
hover over the 3 dots to reveal the menu and select "Edit" to edit the deal
After you post a deal on MOGL, you have the ability to edit almost 100% of the deal's information, including Title, Description, Deliverable structure, Compensation, and Athlete Targeting. However the editing of the deal currently does not impact how the Athletes were ranked for the deal, and thus the MOGL AI Score can be "off" if you edit the deal too drastically.
If you made a significant error that dramatically changes the construct of the deal, we recommend deleting the deal instead and then posting a new one with the correct information.
2. Editing a deal AFTER any athletes have Applied
After the first athlete applies to a posted deal on MOGL, you can no longer delete the deal - however you can still make significant edits to the deal in order to meet your needs.
3. Editing a deal AFTER any athletes have been Hired
After you have hired at least 1 athlete, the core construct of the deal becomes "locked" and you can no longer update the Title, Description, Deliverable structure, Compensation, or Athlete Targeting. However you can still update the due dates of Deliverables as long as you are moving them at least 15 minutes into the future.
Note: if you posted the deal with a 'relative due date' e.g. 2 weeks after hire, you will only be able to increment the due date to be "3" or more weeks after hire. This change will affect the due dates for all hired athletes.
This restriction on not being able to make due dates sooner is intentional as their are punitive measures that MOGL takes for Athletes who don't complete their deliverables on time. If you need a deliverable done sooner that originally agreed to within the deal, please message the Athletes directly.
4. BONUS 1: Editing the due date for 1 deliverable for 1 athlete
If you only need to edit the due date for a single deliverable for 1 athlete, navigate to the Deal Management view -> Hired tab -> Deliverable Management view and then click the underlined due date. This will bring up a date-picker that will let you set a new due date at least 15 minutes in the future.
5. BONUS 2: Un-voiding 1 deliverable for 1 athlete
If an athlete doesn't submit their proof of work 4 days past the due date, their deliverable becomes voided. However you can easily un-void the deliverable simply by editing the deliverable due date to be in the future, with the same process noted above (Deal Management view -> Hired tab -> Deliverable Management view and then click the underlined due date).
Very handy if you forgot to extend the due date due to a delay in shipping product.
